The Seattle real estate market has been hot for some time now, as is true in many cities around the United States. With this in mind, many homeowners believe a house will sell itself with little to no preparation. This is not the case. In fact many homes not properly prepared for selling sit without offers, even in the hottest markets. A home owner in this exact situation shared his experience and how staging his home improved the sale.
This condominium, located at 750 N. 143rd St. Unit 224 in Seattle, Washington was initially listed for sale on March 22nd, 2019. The listing price dropped one month later in April and again in June after receiving no offers. On July 15th the Unit was delisted (cancelled) and we were contacted. On July 16th, we completed a walkthrough and just three days later we finalized staging of the unit which then re-listed on July 25th. Within a single day of being listed after staging, the unit received three offers. Here is what our client had to say:
“This may be a commonplace occurrence for you but I am stunned… after painting and staging the condo was sold in three days after we re-listed the unit! We even received three offers on the same day and the condo sold $12k above the asking price. The buyer was a first time home buyer who was attracted by the listing photos.” – Nur David Bernhardt
At Seattle Staged to Sell we believe staging is an investment. Staging your home in preparation for posting the listing can significantly decrease the amount of time that your home is on the market and increase the number of offers. This Seattle condominium is just one of many examples that prove that staging will improve the sale of your home.
